Mosquito repellent feature in a smartphone can sound weird but this is what LG is up to. Recently LG have introduced a smartphone that comes with a mosquito repellent feature. Earlier the company used to add the feature to their air conditioners and Televisions and now they are adding the feature to a smartphone. The mosquito repellent feature is named as the LG k7i and according to reports the smartphone is all set to launch on October 18, 2017. The reports also suggest that the smartphone will hold a price tag of Rs.7,990 and will be available via offline stores across the country.
Coming to the specifications of the device, the LG k7i comes with a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720. Under the hood, the LG device is powered by a quad-core processor that is clocked at 1.4 GHz. The LG phone comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of on board storage. The device also allows you to expand it’s storage up to 256GB via a Micro SD card slot.
Talking about the camera section, the LG K7i device comes with an 8MP camera on the rear panel along with an LED flash. On the front panel for selfies there is a 5MP shooter.
The LG device packs a removable battery of 2,500mAh which is capable of giving a day of battery. If we talk about the software the LG k7i runs on an outdated Android version which is Android Marshmallow out of the box. However, there is no confirmation if the device will receive android nougat update or Oreo update in future.
Talking about the Mosquito Away technology, on the bottom rear side of the device there is a giant bump. The giant bump mainly releases some ultrasonic sound which keeps the mosquitoes away. Also the ultrasonic sound is safe for humans.
However, the LG k7i lacks specifications comparing to the other available smartphone brands in the market. Also there is no confirmation about launch date and price. So what do you think about this?
