How To Install Numix Theme And Icons In Ubuntu 17.04 :
Many thinks Numix is the best theme package for the Linux distros and hence a popular one. But before you really start installing the numix theme make sure you are connected to the Internet.
Now we will be installing the Numix theme using official Numix PPA. But before we really head into the installation process let me tell you what is PPA, well a PPA or Personal Package Archive is a special software repository for uploading source packages to be built and published as an APT repository by Launchpad or a similar application.
Coming back to the installation process, Press ALT+CTRL+T together to open the terminal or you can simply right click on the desktop screen and click on Open Terminal.
After Opening the terminal we have to add the following command :
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:numix/ppa
Then it will take a little bit of time, after getting done with the first command, its time to add the next command which is :
sudo apt-get update
Now its time for our last command which is :
sudo apt-get install numix-gtk-theme numix-icon-theme-circle
And we are done. Now it’s time for the next a few steps. But before you really start customizing the theme you have to install Gnome Tweak Tool so for that type the following command in the terminal :
sudo apt-get install gnome-tweak-tool
Now you are all done! Moving to the last few steps, Go to the launcher and type Tweak Tool and click on it. An change your settings just like this following screen shot and you are done.
