There was a rumor that Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi going to launch it’s Xiaomi Mi 5X in India around September. However, we have not came across to any such confirmation about the launch yet. Instead, we have came to know that Xiaomi recently have launched an affordable version of Mi 5X in China. Where the original variant sports 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, the affordable version comes with the same RAM but 32GB of storage.
Talking about the price of both of the device, The 64GB of internal storage variant is priced at 1,499 Yuan in China, and after the storage cut of the device, the 32GB of internal storage smartphone variant comes with a price tag of 1,299 Yuan.
According to a report by Android Headlines, the Xiaomi Mi 5X 32GB variant may come in Gold, Rose Gold and Black color options. Apart from the change in the storage section the specification of the device remains same.
The Xiaomi Mi 5X sports a 5.5-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood there is a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 64-bit octa-core SoC, along with the Adreno 506 GPU for graphics processing. Two 12-megapixel cameras are placed on the rear panel of the device, that comes with 2x optical zoom as well as you can sport a dual-LED , dual-tone flash on the back of the smartphone. On the front side there is a 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. The device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and comes MIUI 9 pre-installed on the Xiaomi Mi 5X.
However, we have no confirmation about the India launch, but Xiaomi India’s VP in a recent tweet had said India going to experinece it’s first dual camera setup smartphone from Xiaomi. So maybe it can be the Xiaomi Mi 5X or Xiaomi Mi 6.
